Rolex Submariner ref.5512 Maxi Mk1 from 1977
Rolex Submariner ref.5512 Maxi Mk1 from 1977
The Rolex Submariner 5512, launched in 1959, was the first Submariner to feature crown guards starting with square crown guards, followed by pointy and lastly rounded. The 5512 carried the C.O.S.C. certification while the 5513 did not and hence it had 4 lines of text to include the chronometer rating differentiating it from the 5513. The 5512 was discontinued in 1979, this is one of the last very interesting and rare pieces and it has only been produced for over a year in 1977/1978.
