Rolex Oyster Royal ref.6427 Seconde/Seconde from 1961

Romaric André, known as seconde/seconde/, attended the 2019 Baselworld trade fair to showcase his first customized vintage watches. While others displayed luxury items in elaborate booths, he simply opened and closed a cardboard box.

Despite the unconventional approach, André, 43, was recognized for his past work as co-founder of Celsius, a company that combined a luxury flip phone with a tourbillon watch. He has since collaborated with Swiss brands like H. Moser & Cie, Louis Erard, and Frederique Constant, admired for his fresh, disruptive style.

This vintage Rolex Oyster Royal watch features a rare Seconde Seconde Sword hour hand that complements the "Royal" name on the dial. The hour hand was designed by Romaric André in December 2022. Only 30 were made, most of which are held by collectors, making it a rare find.
