Rolex Oyster Royal ref.6427 Seconde/Seconde from 1961

Romaric André, known as seconde/seconde/, attended the 2019 Baselworld trade fair to showcase his first customized vintage watches. While other exhibitors displayed luxury items in elaborate booths, André simply opened and closed a cardboard box.

Despite his unconventional approach, André, now 43, was recognized for his past work as co-founder of Celsius, a company that combined a luxury flip phone with a tourbillon watch. Since then, he has collaborated with Swiss brands like H. Moser & Cie, Louis Erard, and Frederique Constant, admired for his fresh, disruptive style.

This vintage Rolex Oyster Royal watch features a rare Seconde Seconde Sword hour hand that complements the "Royal" name on the dial. The hour hand, designed by Romaric André in December 2022, is part of a limited edition of only 30 pieces, most of which are held by collectors, making it a rare find.
