Rolex King Midas Cellini Lapis Lazuli ref.4611 from 1976

The original King Midas was introduced in 1962 and was designed by Gerald Genta. This watch, with reference 4611, has the inscription "Cellini" on the lower half of the dial. The dial of this watch is truly special as it is made of a beautiful stone lapis lazuli, this specific dial has no Calcite and very little Pyrite wich gives the stone a more milky tone, less crystal colored and clean looking. One of the most impressive aspects of the King Midas is the manual production, each model carefully crafted by highly skilled goldsmiths, which of course makes each model slightly different in terms of weight and finish.
