Rolex Day-Date 18238 Double Quick-Set Lapis Lazuli from 1999

This beautiful Rolex Day-Date is a 18238 reference, first introduced in 1988 and produced until 1999. This model was the first Day-Date to have a Double Quick-Set feature thanks to the caliber 3155 that lasted over 30 years in production. Additionally, this model was the last reference to have brushed lugs in the Day-Date family, which looks amazing and far superior to the later polished lugs.

Today we have a very particular 18238, one with a stone dial, and not just any stone, but the sought-after Lapis Lazuli, which is composed of Lazurite, Calcite, and Pyrite minerals. The dial of this very watch has minimal Calcite (white flakes) and minimal Pyrite (gold flakes), which give a very clean aesthetic and deep blue hue to the dial.
