Rolex Datejust ref.16030 de 1988

Released by Rolex in 1945 to celebrate the brand's 40th anniversary, the Rolex Datejust was the first self-winding wrist chronometer to display the date on the dial. Since its introduction, the Datejust has become one of the most iconic and popular watches in the Rolex catalog. With its discreet appearance and size, it offers a practical and everyday alternative to Rolex's other highly useful tool watches: certified as a chronometer, water-resistant, with an almost perfect aesthetic balance.

The dial of this Rolex Datejust is in exceptionally good condition. The T-Swiss-Made-T tritium dots on the dial are present, with a warm color and show the same patina as the hands. It also has its Rolex crown and comes equipped with its original Jubilee bracelet and clasp.

Inside the watch, you will find Rolex's officially certified 3035 "Superlative Chronometer" automatic movement. The mechanism features an escape lever, 26 jewels, and a KIF shock absorber, beating at a speed of 28,800 BPH which allows the watch to be more accurate. Like many later production models, this Rolex Datejust also features a very practical quick-set date function, first introduced in this particular caliber.
