Rolex Cellini Octagonal 18k Pleiade Dial ref.4355 de 1989

The dial of this watch is inspired by Greek mythology; the "Pleiades" were the seven daughters of the Titan Atlas, who turned his daughters into stars to protect them from the hunter Orion.

The dials of these watches are made of solid gold and use very similar fine diamonds, in addition to the beautiful dial, the watch features a refined "Hobnail" bezel.

The diamonds were also selected and set by hand, an uncommon touch of true craftsmanship in the almost entirely automated processes of Rolex.
