Rolex Cellini King Midas Hobnail ref.4126 Wood Dial from 1976
Rolex Cellini King Midas Hobnail ref.4126 Wood Dial from 1976
The King Midas was introduced in 1962 as a limited edition and was designed by Gerald Genta with the shape of the Greek Pantheon, hence the asymmetrical design of the watch that simulates the design of the Pantheon and its columns. Interestingly, the crown was placed on the left side to represent Midas, who turned everything he touched with his left hand into gold according to Greek mythology.
This watch features a beautiful hobnail finish and wood dial with silver print, which, in my opinion, is the most beautiful iteration of the leather asymmetrical King Midas.
