The Richard Mille RM 60-01 Les Voiles de St Barth is arguably one of the most technically ambitious sailing watches ever produced. At its heart is the automatic RMAC2 calibre, a highly sophisticated movement featuring a flyback chronograph, annual calendar, oversized date, UTC second time zone, 24-hour totalizer, and a unique 60-minute regatta countdown display. The flyback function allows the chronograph to be reset and restarted instantly with a single push, an invaluable feature during regatta starts where precise timing is critical. The countdown register at 9 o'clock enables sailors to track the crucial minutes leading up to a race start, while the 24-hour counter at 6 o'clock records elapsed timing.

Perhaps the most unusual complication is the navigational bezel. Combining a rotating bezel marked with the four cardinal directions, a 360-degree scale, and a 24-hour indication, the watch can function as a rudimentary compass when used together with the UTC hand and the position of the sun. The annual calendar automatically differentiates between months containing 30 and 31 days, requiring adjustment only once per year, while the oversized date and month indicator improve legibility despite the complexity of the dial. The UTC hand provides a second time zone, particularly useful for sailors and international travelers crossing multiple regions.

The "Les Voiles de St Barth" edition celebrates one of the most prestigious sailing regattas in the Caribbean. Held annually on the island of Saint Barthélemy, the event attracts some of the world's most competitive racing yachts, from high-performance Maxi yachts to professional offshore racing teams. Richard Mille has been one of the principal partners and sponsors of the regatta since 2010, making sailing one of the brand's longest-standing sporting commitments.

The titanium and Carbon TPT version bearing the turquoise accents of the Caribbean sea was produced as a limited edition of only 50 pieces worldwide. The color scheme was chosen as a tribute to the crystal-clear waters surrounding St. Barth, immediately distinguishing it from the standard RM 60-01.

With its 50mm titanium case, the watch wears better on the wrist than the RM028 dive watch despite being 4mm smaller due to the ergonomic design of the strap.
