This exclusive 1970s white-gold Piaget stands as a rare expression of the era when haute horlogerie and high jewelry spoke the same design language. Crafted during Piaget’s golden age of ultra-thin, jewel-like watches, this piece adopts a Reflet-style sliding mechanism—a concept rooted in post-war Parisian innovation.

The original inspiration traces back to Boucheron, whose Reflet watch was launched in 1947, embodying the optimism and modernism that followed World War II. Envisioned under the leadership of Gérard Boucheron, the design was revolutionary for its time, thanks to an invisible clasp patented in 1944, discreetly integrated into the case itself.

Piaget reinterprets this idea with unmistakable refinement. Instead of a traditional buckle, the watch opens through a sliding mechanism hidden within the case, allowing the owner to slip it effortlessly onto the wrist. The result is a seamless, uninterrupted silhouette that reinforces its jewelry-first identity.

The onyx dial, deep and glossy, provides a striking contrast to the warm brilliance of the hobnail (clous de Paris) white-gold finish, which catches and scatters light beautifully.
