Patek Philippe Calatrava Double Signed "Gübelin" ref.3429 from 1963
Patek Philippe Calatrava Double Signed "Gübelin" ref.3429 from 1963
Initially introduced in 1960, the Patek Philippe model 3429, measuring 35mm in diameter, was offered in both pink and yellow gold, with a few instances crafted in white gold and platinum.
Regarded by collectors as a significant achievement and one of Patek Philippe's most aesthetically pleasing mechanisms, this model is driven by the enhanced caliber 27-460, derived from the iconic caliber 12-600 AT produced between 1953-1960.
This marked the maison's inaugural automatic movement featured in reference 2526 and various other models. Both regarded as reliable workhorses, the cal. 27-460, in production from around 1960 to 1981, underwent notable improvements such as a slimmer movement activated by a non-guilloche rotor.
