Omega Constellation Pie Pan 18K/SS ref. 168.005 de 1966
Omega began using the name "Constellation" in 1952 to denote their officially certified wrist chronometers. The 28.1 mm in diameter and 5.4 mm thick movement passed the official chronometer tests with great success. Its robustness, reliability, and precision led Omega to produce the Constellation in large quantities. This model was also the first mass-produced wrist chronometer made by Omega.
This watch is distinguishable by its solid gold medallion on the back cover of the watch, which bears the seal of the Geneva Observatory, an emblem associated with Constellation watches to this day.
