IWC Mark XII ref.IW3241 from 1990´s
In 1993, IWC introduced the Mark XII, a civilian evolution of its iconic military pilot’s watches. Building on the legacy of the Mark XI, the Mark XII retained key design elements like Arabic numerals and a clean dial layout while adding a date window at 3 o’clock. It featured the high-end automatic JLC caliber 889/2 (branded as IWC 884/2) and offered versatility with a black calfskin strap or an 11-link beads-of-rice bracelet. The Mark XII was a resounding success, establishing the foundation for IWC’s modern pilot’s watch collection and solidifying its place in horological history.
