Gerald Genta Gefica Reserve de Marche "Safari Bronze" ref. 3678 de 1997

This watch was made in 1984 at the request of three safari hunters. The name of this piece comes from the aggregation of the first two letters of each of the hunters' names (Geoffroy, Fissore and Canali), forming GEFICA. The revolutionary use of bronze for the cover solved the problem of visibility during hunting as this material did not reflect sunlight.

Incredibly, this model quickly became an icon in the world of watchmaking, inspiring over time different versions. The first version featured a compass and moon phase, a very revolutionary watch as it was the world's first bronze watch. Gerald experimented with more models made in this material and in the mid-1990s launched in very limited quantities the GEFICA Reserve de Marche, which had a superior aesthetic to the previous models thanks to its size of 37mm and its green and salmon dial with a comet-shaped power reserve in a very unique orange tone.

An important thing to mention is that this was an extremely limited production watch and is the only green GEFICA Reserve de Marche known in the world to this day. We estimate that only a handful of pieces of this reference were made. Rarely does the opportunity arise to acquire a watch with such pedigree, aesthetics, and rarity at a modest price.
