Gerald Genta Gefica Chronograph Day-Date "Safari Bronze" from 1990

This watch was made in 1984 at the request of three safari hunters. The name of this piece comes from the aggregation of the first two letters of each of the hunters' names (Geoffroy, Fissore et Canali), forming GEFICA. The revolutionary use of bronze for the cover solved the problem of visibility during hunting since this material did not reflect sunlight.

Incredibly, this model quickly became an icon in the world of watchmaking, inspiring different versions over time, the first version had a compass and moon phase, a very revolutionary watch since it was the first bronze watch in the world.
