Eterna Majetek Fuerza Aérea de Checoslovaquia 1939
Eterna Majetek Fuerza Aérea de Checoslovaquia 1939
In 1936, the Czechoslovakian army needed precision instruments for their aviator pilots since the country was extremely wealthy at that time. The government of Czechoslovakia decided to order watches from 3 major Swiss producers because one alone could not cover the order. The selected brands were Longines, Lemania, and Eterna.
"All Majetek watches from the three brands used a black dial. There are only 2 Majetek watches with a white dial in the world, and this is one of them," as stated in the underlined quote.
FIRST OWNER
The first owner was a pilot in the Czech Air Force until the start of World War II. He was then transferred to an operations base and began working in a control tower overseeing pilots and air operations for the next few years. He said, "all my friends had their watches with a black dial." This information was confirmed by a collector who purchased the watch from the original owner in 1986 in Poland and then kept it in his personal collection for over 30 years in Slovakia until I managed to purchase the watch for my personal collection in 2016.
