Encendedor Ronson Varaflame Premier 1950s NOS
RONSON is a globally recognized brand that has been a pioneer in fire-making products for over a century. Few people know that it started out as a metal factory called Ronson Art Metal Works. The brand was founded by Louis V. Aronson in 1886 in New Jersey, USA.
In 1957, the first Varaflame pocket lighter was introduced, and with its innovative design, it was a resounding success. The Varaflame Premier model was the most well-known. This lighter was the first to combine gas refilling and flame regulation. The model was inspired by the aerodynamic shapes of American cars at the time, and its design took on those lines, creating the iconic aerodynamic design that characterizes the lighter.
