Cartier Tank Basculante ref.2390 Millenium Limited Edition from 1999
Cartier Tank Basculante ref.2390 Millenium Limited Edition from 1999
The Cartier "Reversible" was designed in 1926, five years before the Jaeger leCoultre "Reverso" model. However, the Cartier Reversible was not introduced to the market until a year after the JLC in 1932, and the name of this model was later changed to "Basculante". The Cartier Basculante is one of the pieces that has gained popularity among collectors in recent years due to the combination of its key elements: an ultra-thin manual winding caliber, a guilloché dial, and a case with a folding mechanism manufactured in steel. As if that weren't enough, this millennium edition adds an extra factor to this combination of elements with the replacement of the number 12 (XII) with MM in honor of the millennium closure, being an edition of only 365 pieces, significantly fewer than other limited Cartier models, so we see great potential in this watch.
