Cartier Stepped Case Mini ref.25716 de 1973
The Pre-Must series by Cartier was produced from 1973 to 1976, and was a particularly interesting collection that was issued in twelve different models, produced in very small quantities and almost unnoticed during the last five decades. The watches were offered with different designs and had steel/brass cases coated in gold, their use of materials depended on the Cartier Boutique in which they were made, these pieces functioned with mechanical ETA movements and some of the models had dials that were offered in many different colors, such as white, black, brown and blue, a rarer color.
The Pre-Must models performed extremely well in terms of sales and introduced Cartier to a wider audience. Apparently, it was due to the success of these watches that Cartier launched the "Must De Cartier" line in 1977, once the three separate Cartier brands in New York, Paris, and London were unified.
Details of a specific Cartier watch are also given, including its model name, reference number, year of manufacture, serial number, materials, dimensions, movement, and strap. The watch has undergone mechanical servicing and comes with a 6-month guarantee of mechanical function.
