Founded in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron, this renowned Parisian jeweler offered a unique fusion of Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs to the affluent across Europe and Asia. European tastes in the 1950s and 1960s prioritized innovation over embellishments, and this is where Boucheron excelled, inventing and patenting three clasp systems that had never been seen before.

Integrating the clasp with the case, this iconic first-generation Boucheron Reflet is of a quality that can match or even surpass that of its finest competitors. The obvious reference here is Cartier. While Cartier’s growing popularity shows no signs of waning, we believe Boucheron presents an equally investable proposition, thanks to its much lower production numbers, similar heritage, and exceptional artisanal finishing.

In fact, Boucheron did not manufacture its own movements, instead relying exclusively on a select group of suppliers, including Ulysse Nardin and Omega. The cases were produced in France by suppliers such as Cristofol, who also supplied Cartier.
